The things I come up with at 1am...lol

Someone had to do it. Someone had to step up. There was a troubled heart and a heated head; that left her to be the one to do it. It was logical. She was always the one to do it; always making the decisions...the right ones no less. She as able to keep them from straying too far, or being too close. Someone had to do it; so she did. Her feelings were stoned and kept under a thick block of darkness, just like daddy told her to do for years. It worked, she noted. There were many times she wanted to cry. Many times she wanted to shout or show a small peek of what could have been a genuine smile. But she didn't. And it was easy.

Easy to walk away with blood on her hands.
